Knowing your rights

Students visited Trades Hall and the Migrant Workers Centre in Melbourne recently to learn about workplace rights. The session highlighted those who have fought for equity and improved working conditions for workers in the past.

The Migrant Workers Centre advocates and empowers migrant workers on practical elements of workplace relations, including workplace health and safety, problems faced by workers from emerging community and limitations created through language barriers.

Empowering our students to understand their rights is vital to our ethos. We strive to create an inclusive and culturally safe school that empowers students to gain independence and thrive in their communities. This type of knowledge will be invaluable to our students.
